2010, June 15-17, Meeting of the Decision Support for Coastal Science and Resource Management Project, UMES Sarbanes Lab, Assateague Island National Seashore, Berlin, MD, The goals of the meeting are to (1) receive feedback from project partners (including those within USGS, NPS, and other agencies) on the use of remote sensing technology supported by the DSCSM project in their respective research/applications. (2) facilitate discussions for continued collaboration and explore new partnership development. (3) provide updates on the technology, mapping, research and product deliverables of the DSCSM project.

2009

2009, October 26-30, ALPS Training Workshop, Silver Springs, MD. The primary objective of this workshop is to educate attendees on the Airborne Lidar Processing System (ALPS) software and its applications to explore and process lidar data and imagery acquired by the Experimental Advanced Airborne Research Lidar (EAARL).

2009, May 5-7, NE Lidar Workshop, USGS Woods Hole Science Center, Woods Hole, MA. Local, state and federal Government agencies, the community and industry are driving significant increases in the demand for high quality elevation data. Lidar and other acquisition technologies are also developing at a rapid rate. This workshop will provide an overview of the current state of Lidar acquisition technologies and discuss applications and availability of high-resolution topographic data for meeting local and regional coastal needs in New England.

2008, June 3-5, Servicewide Benthic Mapping Protocol (SBMP) Workshop, Denver, CO. The primary objective of the workshop was to stimulate discussion among invited experts about development of a servicewide benthic mapping protocol for application in all U.S. coastal and marine waters.

2008, February 12-15, ALPS Training Workshop, USGS FISC, St. Petersburg, FL. The primary objective of this workshop was to educate attendees on the Airborne Lidar Processing System (ALPS) software and its' applications to explore and process lidar data and imagery acquired by the Experimental Advanced Airborne Research Lidar (EAARL).

2007, June 20-21, Airborne Lidar Technology and Applications Workshop, Louisiana State University (LSU), Baton Rouge, LA. The primary objective was to educate attendees on airborne-lidar technology and its' potential applications in the northern Gulf of Mexico region.
