Monday afternoon and Tuesday will focus on Gulf of Mexico science programs.

Wednesday morning will be a joint session where senior leadership from both regions will share their views on USGS science and research directions for both the Gulf Coast and FISC.

Wednesday afternoon and Thursday will focus on FISC science programs.

USGS personnel are encouraged to attend all four days.

The objective of the 2008 meeting is to:

  • provide a forum for information exchange
  • improve cross-disciplinary communication
  • facilitate collaboration among scientists, technical staff, and research managers in the FISC.
